Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray on Monday launched a veiled attack on estranged cousin and MNS president Raj Thackeray, saying "some people criticise Sena-BJP leaders but leave Congress-NCP untouched, apprehending being "picked up like a rat and put into a cage".

"Masses have become aware that voting for MNS is akin to voting for Congress. Some people criticise Sena-BJP leaders but leave Congress-NCP untouched, as they fear being picked up like a rat and put into a cage," Uddhav told reporters at Sena Bhawan in central Mumbai.

"There is fierce criticism by some people against the Sena-BJP combine but not a word against Congress-NCP. Maybe the 'rat' fears it would be put in a cage," he said.
