Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray on Thursday said the Allahabad High Court judgement on Ayodhya title suits should put an end to the decades-old dispute.

"The Ayodhya issue was hanging fire for decades. Let us hope that today's verdict would put an end to it," he said.

The Allahabad High Court today ruled by a majority verdict that the disputed land in Ayodhya be divided equally into three parts among Hindus and Muslims and that the place where the makeshift temple of Lord Ram exists belongs to Hindus.
