Way to yogic world

A human being has many shortcomings and flaws. But perhaps the greatest of all vices that brings one's downfall or creates hurdles in life is one's ego and emotional attachment.

It is pride that spoils one's relation with others and it is mental or emotional attachment that puts one in various bondages and bogs one down in the marsh of voices or the quagmire of 'maya.'

Yoga is the way to free such a person from this bondage. And Raja Yoga enjoins upon man to dedicate himself to God. It demands man's devotion, considering Him as the holiest, the mightiest and most beautiful and merciful. Man's inner feeling of complete surrender to Him brings him the meekness enough to understand the power and the will of God.

As a result of Raja Yoga, a man's pride of erudition, worldly wisdom, riches, youth and vigour vanish away and he becomes humble, considerate and compassionate.

His love no more remains confined to his friends, relatives or to those whom he likes. The sphere of his love widens and takes the whole world in its range as he now considers the entire universe as his own family.

His mind is now not divided by distinction of race, caste, colour or language. Rather, he looks upon the world like a big family, having a huge variety and he has love for all. He does not have attachment towards some, aversion or ill-will towards others.

He leads a life of God's trustee and does all that God wills. He understand and feels that now is the time to be in the service of humanity so that life becomes more meaningful.

This can happen if one practices Raja Yoga in its true spirit. A yogi has the capacity to serve mankind without any ego. He considers himself as a messenger of God and does all that God Himself would have done.
