A woman chartered accountant on Tuesday allegedly jumped to death from the 19th floor of a building along with her son and daughter in suburban Malad, police said.

The woman, Nidhi Pawan Gupta (30) left behind a suicide note in which she stated that nobody was responsible for the extreme step, police said.

The incident took place at around 8.30 am, when Gupta threw her son Gaurav first and then her daughter Mahika before jumping herselves from the 19th floor of the 21-storeyed Sahyadri Housing Complex in Govindnagar area, they said.

"She is a Chartered Accountant and was taking lectures at a local college twice a week," Vinayak Kakade, Senior Inspector at Dindoshi Police Station said.

Nidhi stayed with her husband Pankaj, in-laws, brother-in-law and sister-in-law at a flat on the 9th floor of the building, police said adding the family members were at home when the incident occurred.

The victim took the two children from home saying that she was taking them to their schools, Kakade said.

"She took the elevator to go upto the 18th floor. Then, she took staircases to go to the next floor from where she threw her son first and then daughter. Later she herself plunged," Kakade added.
