A brutally mangled body of a woman, believed to be in her early thirties, was found wrapped in a blanket and neatly packed in a suitcase at Mumbai's Sandhurst Road railway station on Tuesday morning.
According to an eyewitness, the body, with semen stains and injury marks on her private parts, was dumped by a man at around 1.30am on platform number one of the station.
This is the second such incident in Mumbai.
About five days back, the police had found a partially decomposed body of an unidentified woman packed in a suitcase from the Juhu beach.
The police have not ruled out the possibility of a serial killer on the loose.
"Prima facie, it appears that the same person has committed both the murders. But we will be able to make a detailed comment only after a thorough investigation," said Mumbai police deputy commissioner KMM Prasanna.
