What is the message you are hoping to impart during the Moksh-HT wellness week?
I think this event will help people experience a wide range of activities and learn about a wide range of issues, under expert guidance. It will help them make informed decisions about their own fitness issues and decide what activities work best for them.
What is the focus of your workshops?
Kickboxing being a professional sport, our training is quite rigorous. But in these workshops, we will train people on the basics of kickboxing and make them understand how the sport effectively helps to tone muscles, increase stamina and improve concentration. Playing any sport is great to maintain your general fitness levels.
What is the target audience for your workshops?
Anyone from the age of four upwards can take up — and benefit from — kickboxing, as long as they work within the guidelines set by their trainers. In recent times, we have seen a large number of women participate; kickboxing is coming to be seen as a great way to lose weight while learning a form of martial arts. Ziauddin Khatib will conduct two more kickboxing workshops, on Tuesday and Wednesday, from 11 am to noon.
