A four-member inquiry committee has recommended the immediate transfer of Sudhakar Jadhav, 48, the X-ray technician who molested a 50-year-old woman at St George Hospital last month.
The committee has recommended that Jadhav should be transferred outside the hospital immediately and posted in a department where he will not have to deal with woman patients.
The complainant told the committee members that Jadhav asked her to remove her clothes, though this is not required for an X-Ray.
This was not the first time Jadhav misbehaved with a woman patient, the report states.
"But patients did not file formal complaints and hence no action could be taken," said a doctor part of the committee.
"The inquiry report has been submitted to the higher authorities. As of now, he remains suspended," said Dr DR Kulkarni, medical superintendent of St George Hospital.
