Youth held for stabbing friend

A 19-year-old was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly killing his friend over a trivial issue. The accused, Ajay Sharma, is a resident of Netaji Nagar in Sakinaka. HT reports.

A 19-year-old was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly killing his friend over a trivial issue. The accused, Ajay Sharma, is a resident of Netaji Nagar in Sakinaka.

The incident took place around 11 pm at Yadav Seva Sangh society. Ajay and the deceased Rashid Nawab (19) studied in the same college and were close friends.

On Monday, they had a fight over Ajay threatening their common friend, Rajesh Sharma (18). Ajay attacked him with a knife when he was returning home with another friend, Rupesh Mourya (19). “We arrested Ajay for murder and attempt to murder,” said Assistant Police Inspector Ashok Chavan.

Man arrested for killing co-worker

The police arrested a man for the alleged murder of his friend on Monday, after the former found that the deceased was sending lewd messages to the accused’ fiancée due to which his engagement was called off.

The Oshiwara police said that on July 29, they found the body of Mohamed Murtuza (24) at a construction site in Jogeshwari (west). Murtuza was a painter. Police found that Murtuza’s friend and colleague Anshu Das (22) was missing since the day of his death. The police him tracked down in Bihar.
