Grammy-winning singer Adele has undergone a successful laser throat surgery to repair damaged her vocal chords.
The 23-year-old was forced to scrap a series of performances in US following a throat problem earlier this year, reported People magazine.
Doctor Steven Zeitels, director of Massachussetts General Hospital's Voice Center said, "We expect Adele to make a full recovery from her laser microsurgery."
The doctor also performed micro-surgery on Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler in 2006.
The 'Someone Like You' hitmaker's representative had earlier dismissed rumours of singer being diagnosed with cancer.
"We would like to reiterate that Adele is to undergo surgery for a hemorrhaged vocal chord. All reports regarding any other condition are 100 per cent false."
