Adnan and Roya got married on January 29, 2010, and it is after almost seven years that they have welcomed their first child. An Afghan-origin German girl, Roya is Adnan’s third wife after he got separated from actor Zeba Bakhtiar and Dubai-based Arab Sabah Galadari.
Sharing his happiness of becoming a father, Adnan posted a touching message on Facebook. The ecstatic singer expressed how he always wanted to have a daughter.
In an interview to a portal, Adnan said: “Both mother and child are doing fine. Medina is the most incredible thing that’s happened to us. Both Roya and I always wanted a daughter and she is already my lucky charm. I have found a new inspiration for my music through her and she is going to be the centre of my world.”
Adnan, who has to his credit songs such as Bhar Do Jholi (Bajrangi Bhaijaan), was recently honoured with the Asian Award from the British Parliament’s House of Lords for Outstanding Achievement in Music. In December 2015, the Indian Home Ministry had also approved Adnan’s request for legal status as a citizen of India. Born in London, the singer has Pakistani and Afghan roots.
