After giving music for over 20 films and currently riding high on the success of his recently released film, Queen, music director Amit Trivedi can’t wait to perform in the Capital.
The 34-year old National award winning music composer got chatty when we asked him if he was planning to perform in the city. “I’ve always been wanting to perform in Delhi, but I just don’t know why I have not been able to make it as yet,” says Trivedi.
His performance at Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) got cancelled recently, and more than anyone else, Amit seemed to be unhappy about it. “From whatever I have known from my fans and friends, I have a huge fan base among the youth in Delhi. So when I got to know that the show got cancelled, it was more disappointing for me, as I had to let go off one chance to connect to my Delhi fans.”
He also admits that it was because of the budget that his show got cancelled.
“It’s not individually about me, as an artist, I would have loved to sing for my fans. But at the same time, I also have my troupe performing, and it’s not fair if they are not paid for their performance.”
