I assume many thousands of you went to see Metallica in Bangalore. Although the metal giants left Delhi fans angry, I’m sure the Bangalore crowd got more than they asked for.

So as you recall the American grunge heavyweight’s debut in the city, I share with you some of my favourite Metallica songs.

These are from their album, And Justice For All, which in my opinion is their best album ever. From the song ‘The shortest straw...’: “The accusations fly discrimination, why? Your inner self to die, intruding doubt sink itself in you its teeth and talons through you’re living catch 2-2, deluding” From the song ‘Blackened..’ : “Blistering of earth, terminate its worth deadly nicotine kills what might’ve been callous frigid chill nothing left to kill never seen before breathing nevermore.”

And the following is from my all-time favourite song, ‘One...’. Now this song, for me, is perfect in its lyrical value and its writing excellence. So while the complete song is awesome, I will select a part of the lyric that speaks to me the most…“Darkness imprisoning me, all that I see, absolute horror, I cannot live, I cannot die, trapped in myself body my holding cell”.

Now go and rediscover this magnificent album as you sink in the supremely sublime moshing time… If I may say so.
