Singer-composer Ankit Tiwari has swept almost all the major awards in the past three years in the best music category. His latest song Tai Hai from Akshay Kumar starrer Rustom is also creating buzz. But when it comes to critics, the Sun Raha Hai Na Tu (Aashiqui, 2013 ) singer-composer is not too happy.
While the critics think freshness is missing from his songs and each of them sound similar, Ankit is fed up of these allegations. He says, “If they (critics) are expecting anything different from me, I am expecting them to write something new. If critics find my songs monotonous, then I also find their opinion monotonous.”

“I respect them (critics) but at the same time I feel I am responsible and answerable to my fans and no one else. If fan are accepting my compositions with open arms, I can’t complain,” adds Ankit. He further says, “What can I do if the director and producers comes to me with a certain demand for a vision for a song. I will try my best to give them a song that matches their vision.”
He says, “At the end of the day I also need to earn my bread and butter. Just because I am not getting to show my versatility doesn’t mean I will leave the projects that are coming my way.” “I have taken up solo projects where I am composing songs for the entire album of the film and I hope now when they get a 360 degree view of my work they will be satisfied,” he says.

But I was very nervous in parts where I had to speak. I felt uneasy while shooting but I believe in ‘never say never’ so who knows what will happen in future.”
