Rapper Azealia Banks, who had posted racist tweets against singer Zayn Malik on Friday, has now apologised.
“Now that the immediacy of the infamous incident has worn off, I’ve had sometime to decompress & take a more rational assessment of things. I want to extend my sincerest apologies to the world,” Banks wrote on Instagram.
The 24-year-old had racially abused the former One Direction member, after she found similarities between Malik’s Like I Would video and her music videos. She was subsequently suspended from Twitter after the racist outburst.
