Bacardi NH7 Weekender kicks off in Kolkata

On day one of the two-day festival at Nicco Park in Salt Lake City, Kolkata, Naga folk sensation Tetseo Sisters were one of the first to take the stage enthralling audiences with their signature tracks of the Chakhesang Tribe.

Back for the third year in the row, the massive four-city music festival Bacardi NH7 Weekender kickstarted with Kolkata as the first city for its latest edition.

On day one of the two-day festival at Nicco Park in Salt Lake City, Kolkata, Naga folk sensation Tetseo Sisters were one of the first to take the stage enthralling audiences with their signature tracks of the Chakhesang Tribe.

Composer Amit Trivedi, too, performed with The Dewarists.

Monica Dogra, known for her dynamic vocal and visual performance as Shaa’ir from electro-pop act Shaa’ir + Func, performed in a solo avatar where she showcased material from her upcoming new album Spit.

Metal legends Bhayanak Maut too performed their latest album Man at this year’s Bacardi NH7 Weekender.

Kolkata got to witness major international acts including names like electronic music duo Peking Duk, six-piece rock band Money for Rope and two of the most notorious buskers, Mr.Woodnote & Lil Rhys, from Australia.

Line up for day two on Sunday (November 2) evening are names like critically acclaimed international headliners Mutemath (US), Cloud Control and Appleonia from Australia, The Emerald Armada, Houdini Dax and Chad Valley from the UK, The Inspector Cluzo from France to some of India’s biggest music acts Indian Ocean’s Tandanu, Pentagram (Unplugged), Indus Creed and Maati Baani.

Bacardi NH7 Weekender will have more than 100 artists will playing for the four editions – Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune and Delhi.
