The night of CMT Music Awards 2012 was high on drama and of course, music. Singer Carrie Underwood stole the show at the CMT Music Awards ceremony this year. She took home the big prize — Video of the Year trophy for her song, Good Girl, and another one for Collaborative Video of the Year, Remind Me, with Brad Paisley. Other winners of the night were Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum.

Hosted by Country singer Toby Keith and House of Lies star Kristen Bell, the fan-voted awards ceremony was held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, on Wednesday. The gala featured performances by Underwood, Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Pistol Annies and The Band Perry, among others. US president Barack Obama and Republican presidential front-runner, Mitt Romney, also participated in a skit, in a pre-taped segment. Presenters at the do included actors Ashley Green, Denise Richards, Reese Witherspoon, and wrestler ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin.
