Chennai Express singer Chinmayi robbed in the US, shares experience on Twitter

Popular Kollywood and Hindi film singer, Chinmayi Sripaada, was robbed in San Francisco recently when she was there for a concert. Her songs in Chennai Express, Ra.One, Kannathil Muthamittal and Kilimanjaro are very popular.

Chinmayi Sripaada, best known for singing in films such as Chennai Express and Ra.One apart from a bevy of southern projects was robbed in San Francisco, US, where she has gone for a concert. She took to Twitter to share the unfortunate events with her fans and well-wishers. In a series of tweets, she explained how she got robbed.

Apparently, her belongings were stolen from a parked car, while she was standing right by the vehicle and it took her five minutes to come to terms with what had happened. Though the police told her told that such incidents were common in that area, she is hopeful of getting her stuff back. Amidst the tragedy, a neighbour came to her rescue and scared the thief from robbing more stuff from Chinmayi’s car.

The singer’s mother had told the media that her daughter is safe, even though she lost valuables like laptop and some items she had shopped.
