It will be a Sunday afternoon treat for all the hip-hop lovers of the Capital, as more than 300 break dancers will jam together, along with popular graffiti artists from across the world, who will be showcasing their prowess at a fest today.
Called Cyperholics - The Break Dance Jam, the event is being organised as part of the festival - Germany and India 2011-2012: Infinite Opportunities.
“This is the fourth edition of Cyperholics in Delhi. This year, we are expecting more than 300 dancers to jam together,” says Akim Walca, the organiser.
The fest will bring out all the aspects of hip-hop culture - MC’ing, DJ’ing, break dancing and grafitti.
Grafitti artists and writers Wok, David and Zebster will also take part in the activities. “They will paint a car, a wall and a canvas at the event,” says Walca.
A graffiti sketch corner will also be set up for visitors to experiment.
“There would be a big sketchboard and markers kept there for the guests to draw,” says Walca.
“To make the event competitive and exciting, we have also planned to judge the jam. Special judges, who are well known hip-hop dancers, will judge the event,” he adds.
A DJ from Mumbai will play the music at the jam.
