If you ever danced in front of the mirror to pop star Fergie’s hits, you have a chance to let her hear you sing. Thanks to an online global singing competition, the Black Eyed Peas lead singer and Grammy award winning pop vocalist Natasha Bedingfield, among others, will be judging amateur singers, who have a chance to be trained professionally and record video performances.
Cosmetics company Avon has launched the year-long program, and the other judges include songwriter Diane Warren, Filpina singer Lea Salonga and Australian singer Delta Goodrem.
Speaking on her collaboration, Fergie said, “I’m so fortunate to be living my dreams through music. I know so many women dream of having their voices heard – now they can.” Women are invited to participate in the online search by choosing a song from the website and uploading a submission video till February 13, 2011 at AvonVoices.com. Anyone can vote for their favourite contenders.
