Faces of a New India celebrates Indian Independence Day. A short classical recital by Purbayan followed by his Fusion concert with Gino Banks, Satyajit Talwalkar and Zoheb Hussain, on tonight at Taj Lands End, Bandra, 7pm onwards.

A choral music concert will be organised by Shri Suresh Rao and 40 students, at Karanataka Sangha, Matunga, 10 am onwards.

Tata Theatre is organising a western music concert by the BP Salon Orchestra, conducted by Parvez Doctor with guest artistes, soloists and a choir at NCPA, 6.30 pm. Entry Rs 160 for non-members and Rs 100 for members.

MCA Recreation Centre is organising an evening of ghazals, called ‘Geeton aur Gazlon Bhari Shyam’ at Bandra Kurla Complex, 8 pm onwards. Entry free.
