With a record of working with the likes of singers Lady Gaga, Akon, Pitbull, DJ David Guetta, DJ Snake is now ready to rock Delhi’s party scene, as he will perform in the city on Saturday.
This Grammy nominated French DJ is quite excited about his first visit to India. “I am very excited to be here. I have heard so much about this country and its culture. I can’t wait to see the Indian audience’s reaction. I can’t reveal what I will play, but I promise that it will be a fun night,” says DJ Snake.
DJ Snake, who is the producer of Lady Gaga’s hit album — Born This Way, is all praise for the pop diva. “Lady Gaga wanted to work with new talent. Her partners gave me the opportunity to make some music and she took two tracks for her last album,” he says.
DJ Snake was interested in music since he was a child and this eventually led to him being named ‘Snake’. “Having seen my interest in music, my mom asked if I wanted to take lessons, starting on my ninth birthday. In high school, I started DJing, which became quite popular. It was in the military that I got the name ‘Snake’,” he says. “After the service, I went back to college and studied TV and film at night while working for a marketing firm in the day and DJing in the weekends. It has been no looking back ever since. I’ve been spinning for over 10 years now,” he says.
DJ Snake is looking forward to interact with Indian DJs. “I look forward to understand their music trends to incorporate in my music,” he says.
