Imran Khan

When you decided to enter Bollywood, who supported you more — your dad Kamal Haasan or mom Sarika?
I have been very blessed because everyone supported me.

How has Luck, where you are paired with Imran Khan, shaped up?
Very well! We have finished shooting; and I am very happy with the final product.

Would you like to sing on the big screen?
Definitely!

Why did you only act, and not sing, in the song Ho jaane de?
That’s the whole idea. Raghav is trying to woo me in the video by singing a song and giving me a Cornetto ice cream.

Did you readily agree to be a brand ambassador for them?
The brand was something I remembered from my childhood so I connected with it immediately.

What is the best way to woo Shruti Haasan?
With ice creams (laughs).

How was it working with music composer and singer Raghav Sachar?
It was wonderful. He is a great co-star and very supportive. He has done a brilliant job on the song.

Ho jaane de is about college life. Did it remind you of your college days as well?
Definitely! I was very nostalgic. My college wasn’t so beautiful but I have so many good memories from my college days. The video took me down memory lane.

When do you usually use the phrase Ho Jaane De?
When I am nervous about something, I say ‘ho jaane de’. Or when I am worried about what outfit to wear, which I think all girls are, I say ‘ho jaane de’. (laughs)

With the elections approaching, are you going to vote?
If I am in India, I will definitely vote. Everyone must vote and be the change that they want to see.

Finally, who would you like to dedicate this song to?
I dedicate the song to all the good-looking boys out there. (laughs)
