Headed West
After working with a Pakistani music director, singer Shibani Kashyap is ready to take the Hollywood route. Malvika Nanda finds out.
Singer Shibani Kashyap is on an expansion spree. After working with a Pakistani music director, she is ready to take the Hollywood route. Shibani is working with a Hollywood production house, Golden Gate, for its Hollywood-Bollywood venture titled Blood, Money Trail. She is doing the soundtrack and the background score and will be recording in Los Angeles, California.
Kicked about the global feel of the movie, which is a corporate thriller on financial terrorism, she says, “There is scope for doing a lot with this soundtrack, since the movie will be shot in various parts of the world. So I’ll get to work with musicians from all over, it’ll have Bollywood, western and eastern sounds.”
While refusing to divulge details of the star cast, due to the confidentiality agreement, Shibani says the movie will feature “the likes of Martin Sheen from Hollywood and Rajat Kapoor, Harsh Chhaya and Barry John”.
