Singer-composer Ishq Bector has slammed allegations that his latest song, Ishq Da Keeda, is a stolen piece.

Bector, who is credited with writing and composing the number for Bheja Fry 2, has been blamed by lyricist Shabbir Abbas for copying the song.

“It’s amusing that a con artist would falsely take claim over my song - Ishq Da Keeda. I will prove myself as a genuine music director by constantly churning out original hits for years to come... Some desperate people will do anything for fame or money,” he says.

“This guy wants to be famous. But the only fame he will get is in the courtroom. So now, our lawyers will make him a star in the court room by suing him for whatever he’s worth,” Bector said in a statement.

According to reports, Abbas sent a legal notice to the producers of Bheja Fry 2, which had raised questions on the originality of the song.
