International celebrity visits to India aren’t over with the Grand Prix. A barrage of global stars will make their way to the country soon again, including Grammy-award winning English singer Imogen Heap, Jordan Berliant, Linkin Park’s manager and Peter Jenner, the founder of Pink Floyd.
“Imogen Heap, Jordan Berliant and Peter Jenner are all coming ( to Mumbai) as speakers for the Nokia Music Connects conference,” a spokesperson from the event told us. The forum is scheduled from November 16-17. That’s not it, as tabloids report that Colombian pop singer Shakira will also be in India for the second time after her maiden visit in 2007 for a private function.
Actors Kiefer Sutherland and Liev Schrieber are already in Delhi to shoot for Mira Nair’s film adaptation of The Reluctant Fundamentalist. Next month, Hollywood actors Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron and Edward Norton will come to promote Abbas-Mustan’s Players, the official remake of their 2003 hit, The Italian Job.
Then, there’s Tom Cruise who’ll be coming with wife Katie Holmes and daughter Suri on December 3 to promote his latest flick Mission: Impossible IV – Ghost Protocol. Russel Brand and Katy Perry are also expected on New Year’s Eve.
