Girish' n the Chronicles made India proud by becoming the only Indian band to get selected to compete in an annual music fest held in Montenegro. The band not only made the cut but also brought home the prize.

They were one amongst 26 participants from 10 different countries including Montenegro, Croatia, Serbia, Ukraine, Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Slovenia. They missed the first place by a margin of a few points.

Girish 'n the Chronicles made good use of the opportunity that was given to the rock band from Sikkim India to compete in a professional international competition the Suncane Skale International Musical festival held in Montenegro. Girish bandThis competition was entirely based on original composition and videography that the participating bands displayed. The selected song would be included in the mainstream line of commercial music and this also meant that the song would be broadcast on radio, television and internet television channels all over Europe.

The band was given a deadline before which they were to submit an original composition. They quickly came up with Angel's Angel and the song got selected for the finals in Montenegro.

This victory brings hope to many rock bands across India.
