Israeli Funk Rock in India

Israel is a melting pot of electronic dance music and the hippy queer, as far as India is concerned, considering the artistes that tour here bring that with them. For once, it will be funk rock.

Israel is a melting pot of electronic dance music and the hippy queer, as far as India is concerned, considering the artistes that tour here bring that with them. For once, it will be funk rock.

NastyPeach, a funk-rock-soul-pop band from Israel, is touring Asia and will be hitting seven cities in India from June 30 till July 11. Hailing from Tel Aviv, this nine-piece band’s music features catchy bass lines and choruses that saunter into saxophone and trumpet interludes. The band has a four-song demo out. They started just by making acoustic recordings with vocalist Odelia Shmulewitz and Ben Krispin on guitar, and took in new band members to create a larger sound. No, they are more of a jam band.

Nasty Peach will play in Mumbai at Blue Frog on June 30 before going to other cities.
