Jassi Sidhu’s new single ‘Dance like Govinda’ banks on the Dulaara star’s dancing skills.

The video, a throwback tribute to the actor’s dashing moves in the 90s and early 2000s, seems to be driving both celebrities and the Twitterati crazy. Everybody who’s a somebody in the celeb world – from Punjabi pop stars Honey Singh and Mika Singh to actress Sophie Choudhary and cricketer Harbhajan Singh’s wife Geeta Basra – has shared the video on Twitter.

But while the video has a nostalgic feel about it – with references to hit numbers from the 90s such as ‘Sarkai lo khatiya jada lage’ and ‘What is mobile number’ – the appearance of the star himself doesn’t help. A few clumsy steps later, you realise that he can’t do it anymore. Or, maybe, he just doesn’t want to. But whatever may be the reason, it spoils the whole experience for us.
