Lady Gaga is being targeted by members of a hardline Islamic group in Indonesia over her plans to perform in the country.

The 26-year-old, who is on her tour across Asia, has been condemned by the religious activists of the country, accusing her of promoting devil worship.

The Poker Face hitmaker started her Born This Way Ball world tour last month in South Korea, but she was forced to perform in the face of a demonstration outside her show in Seoul after angering hardliners with her saucy lyrics and raunchy stage costumes.

Gaga is now taking the tour to Indonesia for a gig in Jakarta on June 3, but she is risking the wrath of religious groups in the notoriously conservative country.

“Lady Gaga insults all religions. Even Christians in Korea opposed her. She is promoting the worship of Satan,” the Daily Express quoted a spokesman for the Islamic Defenders’ Front (FPI) as telling the Wall Street Journal.

FPI chairman Rizieq Shihab had previously urged Gaga to call off the show, telling The Jakarta Post, "If you want chaos in Jakarta, just continue to hold the concert."
