From participating in a singing reality show to becoming one the judges in a similar show, singer Neeti Mohan feels blessed to have gotten the right kind of encouragement in her life and feels complete as an artist.
“People in the music industry are very professional and helpful. I really felt encouraged at every point because I met good people and got inspiration from them. Life has come full circle for me now and it hasn’t happened without hard work,” says Mohan, who started her singing career from the girl band Aasma and later went on to sing for mainstream cinema.
Asked what advice she would give to reality show contestants, the singer, who has recently sung the popular jingle of Radio Nasha (107.2 FM) says, “One should never stop practising. People who participate in a reality show, get a chance to train with big singers. The moment they stop practising after the show is over, their skill goes down certain notches,” says Mohan.
About networking well within the industry, she says, “Everyone has to work hard, there is no short-cut. If you keep working hard there are a lot of musicians on a lookout for new voices,” she adds.
