Abhishek Bachchan is all set to get you grooving to his beats. The 35-year-old actor will release his very own hip-hop album, Side B. Composed by music duo Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravijani, the songs have been mixed by sound engineers from Los Angeles.

Despite the rave reviews he got for his hip hop-style vocals for the songs Ek Main Aur Ek Tun (Bluffmaster, 2005) and Thayn Thayn (Dum Maaro Dum, 2011), Abhishek says he doesn’t consider himself a good singer. “I don’t know how well I sing, but I am a huge fan of hip-hop. I took up this album at the insistence of Vishal and Shekhar. We have been working on it for some time now,” he says.

Shekhar says Abhishek’s first hip-hop track was such a hit that they felt an album would a great hit. However, working with a star had its own drawbacks. “AB was slightly unsure of his voice, so, he asked for time to get the hip-hop style right. Also, his schedule keeps him away a lot. But, he is just too good behind the mic and we really wanted to show it to the world,” he says.

He adds that the album will have six songs — in English and Hindi — and will be out by December.
