Delhi’s music lovers are in for a treat as internationally acclaimed DJ Paolo Mojo is ready to to dish out some party music tonight at LAP, in Hotel Samrat. Known to play a fairly diverse mix of house and techno, Mojo will also spring in few self composed tracks that he’ll unveil for the first time.

The charismatic DJ, who hails from UK, has played in India before and rates it as a huge developing market for international artists. “The amazing quality about Indian audience is their willingness to accept music of all genres. The scope for artists from different backgrounds is immense,” he says. With several experiments going on in the field of music, the face of Dj’ing is changing fast these days. “The term electronic music doesn’t mean that it’s only made of synthesisers. Most house and techno music take inspiration from and use real instruments as well as synths and samples. However, instruments from other genres definitely improvise the spice of playing and forming music that people would like to listen to,” he says.

So, does he take inspiration from our good old Bollywood music? Mojo says, “I am aware about Bollywood’s popularity, but I don't think I would do anything of that sort. I don’t think it is wise to try patronising the audience. They want to see you for what you do well, rather than you trying to do something gimmicky and cheap”.

So, bring out your party pants to groove to the music box of Mojo that will play out famous numbers like Sirena, 1983 and Nightlaw, along with some fresh tracks that the musician has composed and penned himself. Let the DJ fever run high!
