Anyone who’s been to Goa in December will tell you it’s the best time of the year to go. In the run up to New Year, the parties are getting bigger. Besides house, techno and trance, niche genres such as dubstep, tribal-techno and trip-hop also find place in the lineup that also includes many local artists. “Sunburn is like a village gathering, where we share music that makes us happy,” says festival curator Nikhil Chinapa.
