With the festive season kicking off this month, Delhiites will not only be a part of the week long Durga Puja celebrations but the city’s music lovers will also witness the great musical maestros performing at the Kamani Auditorium from October 4 to 13 on the occasion of Delhi Classical Music Festival.
From the echoes of the Kashmir valley to the folk music of the Himalayan ranges, the 10-days classical extravaganza will see renowned musicians from across India coming together to celebrate the spirit of India’s classical heritage. The list of artistes include stalwarts like Pt Shiv Kumar Sharma (Santoor), Debu Chaudhuri (Sitar), Ram Narain (Sarangi), Pt Bhajan Sopori (Santoor), Ustad Shujaat Khan (Sitar), Rashid Mustafa Thirakawa (Tabla), Pt Hari Prasad Chaurasia (Flute) and Pt Viswa Mohan Bhatt (Mohan Veena).
