It’s time for head-banging as five musicians from different bands get ready to pay tribute to Irish rock band U2 in the city. In what will be their debut performance together on stage, the five will be playing the covers of the band.

“We all know each other and have performed in various bands, but it’s the first time we are playing together. It’s going to be good fun,” says Ritwek De, the lead guitarist and singer for the band MindFlew, who also plays for Emperor Minge, Zokova and Tankbund.

They five will play covers of the band including Vertigo and Where The Streets Have No Name among others. “U2 is a legendary band, which is more than three decades old. All young bands look up to them and are inspired by them. It’s an honour to pay a tribute to them,” he says .

The other four members include Sherry Mathews, vocalist for Cobbled Street and The Doppler Effect, Suyash Gabriel, drummer with The Doppler Effect, Cobbled Street and Anvesanah, Tushar Yadav, guitarist with MindFlew and Rohit Bhattacharya, who plays bass for the band Guillotine.
