A Delhi-based band called Projekt Square.

They are known for their fine blend of live electronica with Indian elements such as Sarangi. Not to be pigeonholed into any one genre, they experiment by mixing different sounds and mediums. They have one agenda, and that is to play non-stop music. They are also planning to release their first album by the end of the year.

How long have they been around?
They has been around since October 2010.

Why this name?
The band actually started as a project, so the first name ‘Projekt’ came into being. ‘Square’ represents the four core members of the team - Aman, Anannt, Suhail and the very important laptop.

What makes them click?
They provided a unique experience for the listener, as the band can play anything from punk to Sufi music. Imagine a
situation where you are listening to the voice of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on electronica music. That’s what they bring to their listeners.

Their take on upcoming city-based bands?
There are many upcoming bands in the city and lots of them have good potential for doing well in the future.

Why do they like performing in Delhi?
The city has loads of beautiful venues to play around and a sensible audience.

What are they remembered for?
Their performance at NH7 Weekender in Pune, a four day music festival that saw bands from all over India.
