Heavy metal pioneer and multi-platinum solo artist Ozzy Ozbourne is set to release his latest album Scream on June 22. Fans can stream the full album online and play songs from Scream on...music Updated: Jun 17, 2010 16:22 IST
Announced on June 15 on Osbourne's website, fans can now stream all tracks from Scream on MySpace, including the previously released single Let Me Hear You Scream and ten additional tracks. Osbourne joins a host of artists to recently stream albums online before their physical/digital release dates - among them guitarist Slash, indie dance band LCD Soundsystem, and electro duo MGMT - often to preempt increasingly inevitable album leaks.
Rock Band players can now download three tracks from Scream - the single Let Me Hear You Scream and the as-yet-unreleased tracks Diggin' Me Down and Soul Sucker - as well as Crazy Babies, I Don't Wanna Stop, and No More Tears. Tracks are available independently or together as the Ozzy Osbourne Pack 01.
Osbourne is set to make an 18-month world tour in support of Scream. The tour begins June 29 in the UK, makes its way throughout the US and Europe, then hits Japan in October, with additional dates to follow.
The lead vocalist for heavy metal band Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s and gained a new audience in 2000 when he became a star in his own reality show, The Osbournes. Scream will be Osbourne's first album in almost three years and his tenth studio album overall. It follows 2007's Black Rain, which has sold a million copies worldwide.
