Priyanka Chopra might have impressed everyone with her hit international single, In My City, but there is some sad news for those expecting her to sing for her Bollywood films too. The actor reveals that her contract with the music label that has produced her single does not permit her to sing for her movies just yet.

"Of course, I would like to sing for my films, but until my entire album comes out, I am going to refrain from doing so as my contract doesn’t allow me to. I want to focus only on my album right now," says the actor, who, within the next few months, will also start working on the video of her second single from the album.

PriyankaIncidentally, back in 2005, Priyanka had declined the offer to sing the song Tinka tinka for her film Karam as she wanted to concentrate on her acting career. And that isn’t the only time she has been asked to croon.

"Ever since I have entered Bollywood, I have regularly been asked to sing for my films. But I have always been very shy about it. Then this opportunity (to sing for an international album) came my way. Since I’ve always had an inclination towards music, I decided to go for it," she says.

On hearing the song for the first time two months ago, I'd felt the song sounded very Rihanna-ish, with the highly digitised voice and the typical RedOne club beats. And now, the video makes Priyanka look like a wannabe version of the Barbadian singer! READ ON
