Pop star Rihanna has scrapped an appearance at the Rock In Rio festival in Madrid following the death of her grandmother Clara 'Dolly' Braithwaite.
Her grand mother lost her battle with cancer Saturday and the 24-year-old shared her grief on Twitter. She went ahead with a show in Sweden Saturday, but came under fire from fans for her shambolic performance. Many of the fans said she was drunk.
Rihanna has now decided to take time off and has cancelled her set at the Rock in Rio event Thursday.
Organisers of the festival have confirmed they are trying to organise a replacement for the grieving singer.
