This weekend desi rock band EKA is all set to get the Capital dancing. Join them as they celebrate India’s World Cup win, with their song —Hubba — which was written for the occasion by the three-member band.

At the event, they will also perform their song Aasra, which they say, is dedicated to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan earlier this year.

The members of EKA have been part of some well known bands such Euphoria and have performed at over 2,000 concerts in 15 countries. This performance “EkA back to school”, which will be held at Mount St Mary’s School, commemorates their 18-year long musical journey. “We started our career from this school and we are coming back here after 15 years,” says Hitesh.

The band also claim that they are not limited to one genre. We are influenced by Indian, Western, Jazz and many others. Infact we believe in music beyond music and time,” says Lokesh.

EKA are famous for their simple songs that are easy to hum and groove. The Delhi based band will be belting out classic rock, Sufi and popular Hindi numbers during their performance. The fund-raiser event is expected to attract around 6000 people. So dash towards the event and be a part of this noble effort.

All proceeds from this concert will go towards a charitable cause. So let your hair down and get ready to rock and roll.
