Shankar Mahadevan, Indian Ocean to come together

In a musical merger, two known names from music industry – Bollywood singer Shankar Mahadevan and the band Indian Ocean will come together at the grand finale of th Storm Festival 2013, to be held next month in Coorg, Karnataka.

In a musical merger, two known names from music industry – Bollywood singer Shankar Mahadevan and the band Indian Ocean will come together at the grand finale of th Storm Festival 2013, to be held next month in Coorg, Karnataka.



The second edition of the festival will be spread over four stages and 40 artistes from all across the globe will perform.”Change is what the audience always craves for, and what better way to bring about that change than these two fantastic acts coming together for the first time ever. I am sure that this collaboration will be a feast for the audiences at the festival,” says Lavin Uthappa, the festival director.



And Mahadevan is really happy to be able to play with members of the band. “I really wanted to collaborate with them. I love them as people and as wonderful musicians. I’m a proud mainstream musician but having said that I do firmly believe there’s more to musical talent in India than just in Bollywood. There is so much talent in India,” says Shankar Mahadevan of the popular Bollywood trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy.



“We’re really looking forward to getting together. Shankar is a fantastic guy to work with, a very capable musician and an outstanding singer,” adds Rahul Ram, bassist with Indian Ocean.
