Singer Manjeet Ral aka Manj, one of the two brothers of the band RDB, has spoken out against Surjeet aka Surj, who is his brother and a member of the same band, for slapping a legal notice on Shah Rukh Khan’s production house.

According to Surj, the song Sharabi, that has now been recorded by Manj for SRK’s latest film Happy New Year, was independently released in December 2012, and owned by Surj. In the film, however, music composer Vishal Dadlani has been credited as the composer of the song.

However, Manj has now claimed that Surj has no right to the song. "I produced the song and sang it, and the track was legally handed over (to Shah Rukh) with his (Surj’s) concent and legal paperwork. Unfortunately, he is trying to gain fame from this because he was never part of the production," he says.

Surj, who claims that the song was sold to Dadlani with fraudulent documents by Manj, had requested the song to be removed from the film or credits to be replaced. None of which has been done yet.

While repeated attemps to contact Surj regarding his take on his brother’s comments failed, a source close to him said, "He is dealing directly with Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, and wouldn’t want to comment on Manj’s allegations."
