Popular singer Katy Perry was in for a rude shock on Monday when she noticed that her Twitter account had been hacked. The mischief makers had posted some rude and vulgar tweets on her timeline. Of the many random tweets, one referred to her feud with singer Taylor Swift, reported E! online.
At around 12:30 pm, the 31-year-old songtress retweeted Hillary Clinton’s Memorial Day message along with her message and an America flag emoji. Five hours later, the hackers gained access to her account and posted a series of random tweets on her timeline. The hackers posted tweets including the one referring to her longstanding feud with Swift. The hackers wrote, Miss you baby, while tagging Taylor Swift’s account.
All of the tweets were deleted from the singer’s account fifteen minutes after they were posted. However, Twitter account @sw4ylol, which allegedly belongs to the hackers, shared Katy’s new song called Witness 1.3.
The official account later posted a screenshot of an email from the music sharing site, announcing they had removed the track under a copyright claim by Universal Music Group.
