Highlight Story

Get grooving with a mix of classic and Christian rock with the band — Simple Truth. The members of classic rock band Simple Truth talk to us about their kind of music.

What sort of music can we expect from you?
Our main forte is Christian rock contemporary music. We have more than 30 original songs like God Bless, End Of The Night, It’s All Right, among others. We also perform classic rock, reggae, blues and funk-jazz.

What do you think people remember most about your gigs?
We are the only classic rock band in India that does not have a lead guitarist. The fact that we only use a synthesiser and piano to create music catches the attention of many listeners. Our high pitch versions of popular rock songs gives them a unique blend.

What has been the most inspiring song, event and artist for the band?

The British-Afro band Osibisa and Latin-American band Santana inspire us to keep making original music.

Do you like performing in Delhi?
Yes, as the people in Delhi are very interactive, encouraging and quick to voice their opinion.

What would you say is the best place in Delhi to make music?
Our sound proof studio in Malviya Nagar is where we can work at a leisurely pace.

If you could play at any gig in the world, it would be...
We would love to perform at a summer music festival in Europe, as people like classical rock here.
