Popular Swiss DJ, Yves Larock, to perform his international club hits in city tonight Till date, his 2008 hit Rise up... continues to dominate most DJs’ commercial club playlists.

And tonight, you can catch Yves Larock in action as brings the party to town.

The Swiss DJ-producer will perform at Baroke, a newly-opened pub in south Mumbai.

“It’s my third visit to India. I love the country for its food, beautiful monuments and people. Also, it’s incredible that everyone here smiles,” says Larock.

Having collaborated extensively with various artistes such as Trisha (Milky way…), Jaba (Rise up…) and Tony Sylla and Tara McDonald (Girls…), ask him if there is any Indian artiste he wishes to tie up with and he says, “My knowledge about Indian artistes is limited.

I am always up for collaborations so artistes reading this feel free to contact me!” he says, adding “I’ll also ask my manger to help look for some Indian talent that I can work with in the future!”

Larock is known for the musical versatility he brings into production, deriving influence from house, hip-hop, reggae and electronica.

He has released two studio albums, Rise up (2008) and Manego (2009), besides a dozen singles since 2004. Currently, he is working on his new album, besides producing another one for for Trisha.

“I also work a lot with my friend Tony Sylla, who is a DJ and producer. We recently did a fun cover of Elvis’ Viva Las Vegas. Also, I’m working on music with a very young guy called Fred Lilla, who is from Switzerland.”

With a huge repertoire to his name, Larock aims to keep the momentum going “I’ve decided that I will release a single every six weeks on my own label Milla Records, which will be digitally distributed,” adds the Rise up artiste."
