R&B singer Usher revealed that he had plans to work with late singer Amy Winehouse. For his seventh studio album Looking For Myself, he wanted to collaborate with Winehouse, in addition to teaming up with Diplo, reports MTV.

Usher's dream got shattered when the singer died unexpectedly in July 2011. "We met and we talked about it for a moment when I saw her," Usher told MTV.

"I was shopping and she was doing some private shopping and she came out and we kind of crossed each other's [paths] and, [I was like] 'Is that Amy Winehouse?' ... And before you know it we talked and exchanged information and I invited her to a show ... and she didn't come", he added.

Well, it would have been a hit number for sure!

Singer Usher recently was quoted as saying that he is hooked on to his own songs, which are a regular feature in his play list.

"Right now I'm listening to a lot of Usher! But a few artists I really do like, I like this artist named Jameson, I like Gotye, I love Adele, I think that she is incredible," contactmusic.com quoted Usher, 33, as saying.

Talking about other bands, he said: "I love Foster the People, I love Swedish House Mafia, I love Telepopmusik, all these different artists. Radiohead, Coldplay, Empire of the Sun, I can keep going! But I'm definitely listening to Usher, Usher, Usher, Usher."
