Axl Rose, the frontman of popular American hard rock band Guns N’ Roses, revealed that he, along with the other band members, was recently detained by Canadian authorities for gun possession. Rose, narrated the incident to the crowd, which was gathered at the Toronto’s Rogers Centre on July 16.
“We weren’t exactly arrested, we were detained,” said the rock star on the stage, adding that the authorities were “very nice”. “They were very understanding. You know, it happens,” he said.
A representative of the band confirmed the incident, but claimed that the weapon didn’t belong to the members of the band. “Yes, this indeed happened on July 15, as they (the band members) were crossing the border coming from the Philadelphia tour stop on July 14,” said the representative.
