Though the soundtrack of the film hasn’t been released yet, it’s rumoured that Pritam has recreated one of RD Burman’s cabaret songs, duniya mein.. from the Rajesh Khanna-Mumtaaz film, Apna Desh.

The song has been picturised on Gauhar Khan and said to be one of the costliest cabaret songs ever. Pritam admits that he has reworked RD Burman’s song, but on the lines of Apni to jaise taise from Sajid Khan’s Housefull.

“I have retained the first two lines, but the rest of it is different. The lyrics are new,” he adds.

Buzz is that Pritam is upset with friend filmmaker Imtiaz Ali for roping in AR Rahman for Ranbir Kapoor starrer Rockstar. Denying this, Pritam says, “Imtiaz was supposed to make this film with John Abraham many years ago. He had then roped in Rahman.

However, the film didn’t move. Now, when it’s being shot, there was no way Imtiaz would have roped me in. Rahman has alreadyworked on the score. I wouldn’t wantto step into his shoes because it’s unprofessional.”
