A little respite goes long way for Delhiites

The Capital got a slight respite from the bone-chilling cold on Thursday when the temperature went up slightly.

The maximum temperature recorded was 14.5 degree Celsius, six degrees below normal while the minimum inched up to 5.3, a degree higher than Wednesday’s minimum temperature.

The small increase, however, did not bring any cheer, as the temperatures remained well below what is normal for this time of the year.

The average January temperatures are 7.3 degree Celsius minimum and 21.1 degrees maximum.

According to the weatherman, the cold weather conditions will stay for the week to come as well. “Minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to be around 14 and 6 degrees,” said a Met department official.
