A spell of heat and dry weather later, Delhi is expected to see some rain and thundershowers on Sunday if weather experts are to be believed.
According to the weatherman, a fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the western Himalayan region between April 20 and April 22.
“The disturbance will bring rain to the city on Sunday. It will also cause light to moderate rain/thunderstorm at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir on April 20 and April 21 and at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on April 21 and April 22,” a senior Met official said.
The maximum temperatures have been rising in northern India during the past week. The highest maximum temperature of 43.2 degree Celsius was recorded in Allahabad on April 9.
The maximum temperature had risen to 40 degree Celsius at many places over Delhi NCR in the last few days.
